LOCAL, WILD CAUGHT
This salmon is caught by NC fishermen from Asheville, Heidi and Steve. Each summer they leave for Alaska where they spend their summer fishing on their own boat (named "Toonces") and bringing back the best possible wild caught salmon and cod available. It is simply the best salmon and cod we've ever eaten, fresh or frozen. We have eaten their fish at home for years before finally deciding to add it to Coon Rock Farm as local, but it is as local as any of our other artisan products that are sourced elsewhere but turned into retail products by local artisans.
