These are large thighs from our pasture raised flock of "label rouge" style chickens. They are perfect for frying, barbecuing, baking or casseroles. Each thigh is a big, meaty meal. Since they come from larger birds that walked around there is a lot meat on each thigh bone. Raised outside, foraging for food, they have an amazing taste and texture that is impossible to come by in factory chicken. Humanely raised, chemical-free, sustainable and ecologically sensitive free-range chicken comes from the French label rouge style birds raised at Coon Rock Farm in Hillsborough, NC. Due to USDA rules, this product is only available in NC.
